I am a practicing consulting allergist and pediatrician in the San Francisco Bay Area and the CEO of the Ethnic Health America Network, I am also the director of the Bay Area Multicultural Clinical Research and Prevention Center and the president of the Ethnic Health Institute at Summit Medical Center. Currently, I am the chairperson of the Allergy & Asthma initiative as a member of the National Medical Association.

My specialty is asthma in urban inner cities.

I have won the distinguished honor of being selected as one of the 50 most positive physicians in America and was named one of the Nations Top 100 Black Physicians in the August 2001 edition of Black Enterprise magazine. In addition, several years ago, I was selected as Citizen of the Year in Oakland, CA. Most recently, I was named one of the 66 best physicians in the San Francisco East Bay by Oakland Magazine.

As an Associate Clinical Professor in Pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco, I have been teaching medical students and residents for over 20 years, much of that time as the Chief of Allergy at San Francisco General Hospital. In addition, I have served as the consultant in Occupational Allergy to Northern California Occupational Health Clinic and to the 6th Army Area.

I have always been interested in media as a health education tool. For 10 years, I was the medical editor for KCBS radio. At the present time, I am the CEO and host of the Ethnic Health America Network, a series of radio and television programs currently airing in several major cities across the country. I have a strong commitment to the Bay Area, the community in which I practice medicine.

In addition to these achievements, I have a wonderful wife, four great daughters, two beautiful granddaughters and an adorable grandson.
